HQ.training vs ABC Fitness

A published price, with coaching for every trainer included

ABC Fitness runs Glofox for studios, Ignite for larger gyms and Evo in Latin America, with coaching in a separate product, Trainerize. HQ is one account for a gym at $59 a month: the timetable, memberships and front desk, plus coaching tools and members’ wearable data for every trainer.

What this page says about ABC Fitness comes from ABC Fitness’s own product pages, Glofox plans page and help centers, read on 13 October 2026. Prices and features change, so check theirs before you decide.

The short version

HQ is the better pick if

  • You want the price before a sales call: $59 a month, published, for the whole staff and any number of members.
  • Your trainers program members’ training and want it on the same account as bookings and billing, without a second subscription.
  • Your members wear Garmin, Oura or WHOOP, and you want their training load, HRV and sleep next to their visits.
  • You’d rather not sign a contract: HQ is monthly or yearly, and you cancel from the billing page.

ABC Fitness is the better pick if

  • You run many locations or a franchise and need royalty and head-office tools.
  • You need a member app under your own brand in the stores right away.
  • You need door hardware other than Kisi, or ABC’s own payments and collections.
  • You want push journeys and AI agents that answer calls and messages.

What sets them apart

A price you can see

Glofox publishes one number, “Plans starting at $99 per month”, and every tier asks you to request pricing, with the branded app, XLerate and Insights as add-ons. HQ’s price is on its pricing page and is the same for every gym.

Coaching on the same account

At ABC, programming lives in Trainerize, a separate product priced by client count, connected to Glofox on Trainerize’s Studio and Enterprise plans. On HQ every trainer on staff gets the coaching workspace, and a member’s sessions, bookings and payments sit on one record.

Built for a chain, or for one gym

ABC says it serves more than 30,000 businesses, from boutique studios to Planet Fitness. For a chain, its franchise, payments and access-control tools go further than HQ’s today. HQ is built for a gym or studio, on one site or a few, that coaches its members as well as books them.

Data behind the attendance

HQ scores every member’s risk of leaving each hour from check-ins, attendance and failed payments. For members who connect a watch or ring, a coach they accept sees training load, HRV and sleep too.

Moving from ABC Fitness

  1. Get your data out

Glofox staff can download the client list as a CSV. Ask ABC for anything more before your term ends.

  2. Check your order form

ABC doesn’t publish its contract terms; your order form sets the term and the notice period.

  3. Start on HQ

Gym & Studio is 14 days free, then $59 a month or $590 a year, with no contract to sign.

Questions

Can I track water intake from a LARQ bottle?
Yes. Pair your LARQ Bottle PureVis 2 directly over Bluetooth in the HQ.training iOS or Android app, without LARQ’s cloud or Apple Health. See estimated water intake and a seven-day chart on your private profile, with optional bottle calibration. Account sync and Apple Health export imports are also available.
Can I connect Eight Sleep?
Yes. The unofficial beta imports your own sleep reports, stages and reported biometrics, and provides a private Pod dashboard. Temperature, schedule and alarm controls are supported; base, pillow and audio controls depend on what your hardware and account report. It works without Apple Health. Sleep Agent, Health Check alerts, proprietary Autopilot algorithms and device setup remain in the Eight Sleep app. Physical Pod 5/6 validation is still pending.
How much is Glofox compared with HQ?
Glofox publishes a starting price of $99 a month and quotes each tier, with the branded app and marketing workflows as add-ons on the lower tiers. HQ is $59 a month for the whole gym, or $99 with more AI.
Do my trainers need Trainerize on HQ?
No. Every trainer on HQ’s Gym & Studio plan gets the coaching workspace: structured workouts, plans, the AI plan builder and each member’s training data.
Does HQ have a branded app?
Yes, new. On the Your app page you set its name, icon, colours and store listing, and HQ builds your iPhone app and submits it to the App Store. Members can download it once Apple approves it, and none is in the store yet. In it they book classes and join waitlists, show their QR card, see their membership and next payment, sign the waiver, join and check in at the door. Until then, and on Android, members use the HQ phone app, free.
Can HQ run several locations?
Yes, at one price. Each location has its own address, opening hours and timetable; a plan works at every location, at a member’s home location or at the ones you pick, and staff can be limited to theirs. The business report compares locations side by side. Franchise royalties and head-office tools are not part of HQ.
